I have been with Substack for ten months now and have posted 22 papers covering a wide range of territory. Lately, my insurance carrier reduced my food card value by fifty percent and I still have research expenses to obtain from my monthly SS. I am just barely able to afford a car, which at my age seems a necessity. I have taken to doing chores for friends for pay, which serves both of us well. But something longer term would be most welcome, and at this point I have decided to put up a paywall. I am not certain that I got all the mechanics right — I want to have the abstracts plus the first few pages available for all to see without charge. Hopefully that will be enough to lure in paying subscribers. I have enjoyed the response to my articles and have plenty more where these 22 came from. I hope that many of you stay with me.
